In many cases, I can offer you an appointment the same week you call or the following week.
WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?
I'm not currently an in-network insurance provider. However, many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits for mental health care. If yours offers this, I will provide you with documentation so that you can request out-of-network reimbursement.
WHAT TYPE OF ADDICTION TREATMENT DO YOU PROVIDE?
I offer treatment for problems with tobacco/nicotine, alcohol, and drug use. I also have a license to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone) for opiate addiction.
DO YOU PROVIDE PSYCHOTHERAPY IN ADDITION TO MEDICATIONS?
Yes, I provide a variety of types of treatment including psychotherapy. I'm trained in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
DO YOU HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE QUESTIONING THEIR SEXUALITY/GENDER OR SEEKING GENDER-AFFIRMING MEDICAL CARE?
Yes, in fact I specialize in working with LGBTQ people and in helping people who are transitioning.
I ALREADY HAVE A PSYCHOTHERAPIST. WILL YOU SEE ME FOR JUST MEDICATION MANAGEMENT?
Yes, I'm happy to provide medication evaluations for people who already have a psychotherapist or for people who are only seeking medication treatment.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE?
I'm sometimes able to offer sliding scale appointments and am happy to discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
